Want to learn more here
are a few starting points
Optimium-G
If you are a engineer, driver, mechanic and serious about motor racing
you need to attend Cluads 3-day course. I spend a
couple of weeks with them during his twelve day course and it was
excellent.
The more learn the more you relize you
don’t understand nearly enough.
Wondonga Tafe
If you are new to the industry or just want to get a solid background
behind you to find a career in Motorsport – then you should really look
into this program.
MoTeC
Offer good seminars on their ECU and Data logging products.
Even if you don’t use their products I still recommend their
seminiars which are comptetively priced.
CB Squared
Hey – if you didn’t know we offer special training.
If you have taken some of the other courses mentioned and you still want
to learn more or put into practice - we offer some specialized in-depth
training in the areas that you are interested in.
I use both
of these software packages and highly recommend both of them – these are
serious tools for teams that believe understanding the car is an
important key to succeeding
Optimium-K
-
From Optimum-G - this is a great piece of software that is well worth
the investment.
Susprog
3D
- I have used this software for years and
will continue to. I have learned a great deal from using this
product.
ARE
Antons Race Electrics
Custom Wiring Looms.
Does excellent work and can also help with sales, support as well as
installations. -
Unicap –

purchase your Motec parts from -

The following are what I believe the two best engine builders in
Australia
Smith Engine Research
–
well respected in the industry and does exceptional work.
Having raced with some of his motors – we have never had a driver
complain about the straight line handlining.02 9890 5555
KRE
(Kenny Mac)
– for
ford V8 motors and also does a great sprint car motor.
Excellent person to work with, good solid advise and again the
straight line bit is not an issue.
PFC
brake
systems,
excellent products
Also for some good advice Peter Turk has years of experience and
full of usefull knowelge.
WYSIWYG 3D
Impressive 3d scanning
Redi-Strip
–
for stripping
parts to whole cars – does not matter what they are made of, there is no
place to go besides Redi-Strip
These
systems are some of the industry standards with good products and good
support. Spending less does not mean you will save money

PI
Research
– High end excellent system
MoTeC
– excellent system with a range of products from hi end to club
racing produts
AIM –
very cost competitive where still giving good functionality.
I have used many – and I like some more than others but they all do
essentially the same thing in the end.
Remember the
price of the ECU is only a small part of it after: wiring, dyno time,
fuel pumps, fuel psi regulators, injectors, etc. The following is the preferred ECU I like to work with – when asked why,
I said their products are good but so are some others – but what I
really pay for is their extraordinary support.
MoTeC
-
'I don't buy their products as much as I pay for their
excellent support'
Other reputable ECU manufactures
(not a complete list):
Autronic,
EMS,
Haltech,
Mircrotech,
EFI
Race Teams, Manucatures
